THE ROUTE
We start the tour Jan 20th, 2023 in Koregaon park, Pune, India, home to the Osho International Meditation Resort. And we will finish the tour in Goa on Jan 31st, 2023.
Arrive a few days early to climatise, get familiar with your Enfield on the back streets of the Mansions in Koreagon Park - and if needed shop for last minute supplies, helmets, gloves, sunglasses, etc.
Pune to Mahabaleshwar - Our first ride! Pune to the Raj holiday village of Mahabaleshwar. Mountain cliff roads, huge canyons and winding country roads, perfect for a cruise.​ We stay in a Mansion House and have lunch in a most spectacular way. We stay two nights to give us time to explore the majestic hills, eat a lot of strawberries and start our second riding day with a meditation class.
From Mahabaleshwar we ride the lush Maharashtra Coastline - There are three ways to get down to Goa. The main highway (1-2 days), the old smaller highway (2 days) or the little used Oceanside coastal route (3 days).
Guess which route we are gonna go?!
There are some the most breathtaking spectacular views. Following the shoreline we follow secluded, windy country roads up and down the hills next to the coast. Often the small beach side road will end at the sea and then we will happily have to put our bikes on a ferry to cross the bay to reach to the little quiet beach town of Guhagar.
From here we drive down more windy beach roads until we reach Ambolgad where we take rest in a secret garden get-away with it's own private little cove. Let's get a sunset swim in!
An EIP exclusive special!
The little village of Vengurla is very close to our (secret) fishing spot. We arrive in the afternoon, so we can take a dip in the ocean at this otherwise completely secluded beach. Fishing in the open sea with the Barbarian fisherman. Every time we go we always catch big big fish, enough to feed 20 plus and somehow we always managed to get a super gourmet to prepare the fish for us. Our catch is our dinner that night. Our fishing trip is weather pending and Barbarian willing. You will not find this in any tourist brochure.
In the cool and jungly hills there is Dudhsagar Falls (the name translates into Milk Nectar Waterfalls). Our german/goan friend has transformed a plot of swamp land into a luxurious little eco-resort. Serving home-made Feni (Goan Liquor) he knows every plant and animal around and his happy to introduce their pet porcupine to whoever dares. Morning or night swim in their natural fresh water pool.
Goa, Goa, Goa! We reach Ashvem beach, our favorite one in Goa, located right in between famous Arambol and Anjuna. Take a dip, eat some fish, shop from the locals and the hippie artisans flocking on the beach.
And if we are lucky we get a dance in at a juicy rave party!

Maharashtra has it's own unique cuisine and we scouted out some of the greatest fish thalis and local specialities along the route. Prepare your tastebuds!

Packing & Preparations
Getting there​
Visa: Get your India Visa! You can get a 30 day E-Visa online at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/index.html or for longer term visas go directly through your local Indian Consulate or get an e-visa online
Flights: Book your international flights to Mumbai International Airport. Our tour starts early morning on Jan 2oth, 2023 at 7am. We recommend you arrive to Pune at least by the 17th. Then you get 2 full days to climatize, get over jet-lag and get familiar with your Enfield.
Transportation to Pune: Private taxis can be arranged from Mumbai airport directly to your hotel in Pune.

What to pack?
A Rucksack (backpack) - your bag will be bungie tied to the luggage rack that is attached to your Enfield. Keep the weight under 15 kg. No suitcases! It will not fit on the bike.
The basics - clothes and toiletries, although you can buy almost any toiletries in India.
A (light) summer riding jacket, riding gloves (the ones with the half fingers are best for warm weather), googles or sunglasses, bandana or small scarf to cover your mouth, sunscreen.
You can also get all of these items on our shopping trip to MG Road in Pune.
Don't worry about packing your helmet. Helmets of different variety are also available for you to buy in India.
Don‘t forget to bring your swimwear :)
What you can get once you arrive in Puna:
(please arrive a few days before we start the tour, if you need to do any local shopping)
- Helmet - you must wear a helmet at all times. you can get one in Pune or Goa for $15-40 depending on style and quality.
- Local Indian Simcard - if you must get one, they are available, but best bought as soon as possible, since they need a few days to activate.
Weather
Anything from warm and sunny to hot, hot, hot! Light clothing, sunscreen and long pants and sleeves for sunprotection are recommended. Only late nights and early mornings can get surprisingly chilly on the bike

- If I don't ride a motorcycle can I come on tour as a passenger?
Yes! Its an EIP feature, and traveling India on the backseat of a Enfield is the only way to fly. We save some designated spaces for our passengers only, we encourage the participation of our Pillions, pillows, and hitchriders and offer some discounts to certain kind of referrals and voluntary support and contributions towards the tour. - What is the Early Bird special price?

The Early Bird price is a special discounted price for people who do advanced bookings with us. We also offer some discounts to certain kind of referrals and voluntary support and contributions towards the tour. Its for a limited time and limited space.

- What is not included in Enfield is Prayer tours?
- Alcoholic drinks and beverages are not included in the tour.
- You must obtain your own Indian visa and travel insurance.
- Your personal travel cost to reach the starting point of the tour. (we are happy to support you with booking flights, trains and transportation from the airport to our hotel, just write to us and let us know, if you need some help)
- All personal expenses before and after the tour dates, as well as your hotel stay and meals are not included. However we are happy to recommend hotels in Siliguri and help you book them.
- Personal gear, clothes, helmets, etc, are not included.
- Some meals are not included on off days where it not possible to have the group together

- How much motorcycle experience do I need to ride in the Zorba the Buddha tour?
This tour is suitable for beginner riders.

- Is it safe to travel India on motorcycles and do you provide insurance?
​
No, absolutely not! We do NOT provide any insurance of any kind. Traveling around India and traveling by motorcycle is inherently dangerous. It can result in serious or fatal injuries to you and others. You will be solely responsible for your own risk and liabilities and to obtain your own insurance and hold harmless the organizers of the tour and any others associated with the tour.

Enfield is Prayer is NOT a license company. We are not incorporated, licensed, bonded or insured. We merely act as an organizing entity to recommend hotels and restaurants and help rent Enfield's to ride in India.
We will go over all the safety ins and outs in our pre-tour meeting before we start the tour. Just a couple of quick things we do. We recommend you ride slow and always 100% in control at all times. No need to add karma to the road, the Indian traffic is enough. We have a method to shield our new riders when we cross intersections until everyone is familiar with the flow of the Indian traffic and at the end of the day, its up to every individual to take their own responsibility to be aware and focused on the road.
This is our motorcycle meditation. This is where we look deep inside ourselves and witness our reactions and how we respond to moments. Challenging situations will arise, and most of us will take this as an opportunity to Rise to the occasion!
- How do I sign up?
Its easy. Simply contact us and tell us that you want to sign up and how you heard about the us. Then we will return you a message asking for the following information:
1: How much experience do you have riding motorcycles?
2: Do you have any mental or physical considerations that may inhibit you from effectively operating a two wheel vehicle?
3: Have you traveled India before and if so, where?
4: Do you have allergies and/or on any special medication or diet? ie,vegan, gluten free, etc
After that, you just send a copy of your passport and a deposit of only 200 euros and voila' you have your spot saved for you on our Exclusive Motorcycle Tour!
