Flight Plan
Our exclusive The Last Shangri-la Tour starts in October 2025 from the 7km Resort in Arunachal Pradesh and finishes in the city of Guwahati, Assam.
From the far reaches of the Eastern most part of Himalayan mountain range, Tezu - The Last Frontier, we start our tour, in the Lohit/Namsai region, at the dreamy 7KM Resort.
Our two week Magical Journey takes us through the most untouched region of the Himalayans, sparsely populated, but with approximately 27 different tribal communities, including the Apatani tribe of Ziro Valley, and culminating with the Monpa peoples of Tawang, the oldest Buddhist Monastary, The Last Shangri-La.
All the way up to the far Northeast corner where Tibet meets the Bhutan border, we take the last three days ride along and around the Bhutan border. Three rest days and eleven glorious riding days covering 2000kms of Himalayan Mountain Enfield riding bliss.
Come fly with us!
The Tawang Monastery in Tibetian means "the Divine Paradise of the Last Victory." Sanctioned by the 5th Dalai Lama, it is now the oldest Buddhist Monastery in the world and the 2nd largest after Lhasa. Witness the Himalayan mountain pass near Tawang where the Dalai Lama crossed into India territory to escape from Chinese persecution. Journey on our Enfields thru the Sela Mountain pass at 4176 mtrs (13,700ft).
Sela Pass 4170m (13,700 ft)
One of the highest motorable road in the world with breathtaking views, the legendary pass is named after the bravery of two Monpa tribe sisters, Sela and Noora, who helped fight the Chinese army in the Sino/India war of 1962.
Ziro Valley - home to the legendary Apatani tribe and protected by Unesco world cultural heritage. The women of the tribe to protect against capture from neighboring tribesmen; tattooed their faces and inserted plugs in their nose.

If I don't ride a motorcycle can I come on tour as a passenger?
Yes! It's a Enfield is Prayer speciality where you can ride as a passenger with our tour leaders and experience EIP crew and partners. One of the best ways to travel and experience the Himalayan Mountains, off the beaten path, is on a Royal Enfield. 6 inches from the pavement, you are not only looking at the scenery, but you are part of the scenery.
I am an experienced motorcycle rider and this is my first tour with Enfield is Prayer. Can you help me with flight schedules and hotel bookings for my stay before the tour?
Any and all expenses outside the tour dates such as flights, hotels, taxi's, motorcycle gear, and all personal items are not included in the tour. However, we will be happy to assist you to recommend hotels, flight schedules, airport transfers, etc. We will guide you to the shops where you can get needed supplies and motorcycle gear.
For experienced riders first time with EIP, we recommend you attend our Zen Motorcycle Integration course - Himalayan edition. Course fee - 88 euros.
- Is it safe to travel India on motorcycles and do you provide insurance?
We do NOT provide any insurance of any kind. Traveling around India and traveling by motorcycle is inherently dangerous. It can result in serious or fatal injuries to you and others. You will be solely responsible for your own risk and liabilities and to obtain your own insurance and hold harmless the organizers of the tour and any others associated with the tour.
Enfield is Prayer is NOT a license company. We are not incorporated, licensed, bonded or insured. We merely act as an organizing entity to recommend hotels and restaurants and help rent Enfield's to ride in India.
We will go over all the safety ins and outs in our pre-tour meeting before we start the tour. Just a couple of quick things we do. We recommend you ride slow and always 100% in control at all times. No need to add karma to the road, the Himalayan mountains are enough. We have a method to shield our new riders when we cross intersections until everyone is familiar with the flow of the Indian traffic and at the end of the day, its up to every individual to take their own responsibility to be aware and focused on the road. This is our motorcycle meditations. This is where we look deep inside ourselves and witness our reactions and how we respond to moments. Challenging situations will arise, and most of us will take this as an opportunity to Rise to the occasion!
- I’m a brand new rider and don’t have a motorcycle license, can I still come on tour?
Yes! It's a Enfield is Prayer speciality where we take on brand new riders from all walks of life and teach you how to ride an Enfield. And you only need a regular car drivers license to ride a motorbike in India.
New Riders should come at least 5 days before the start of the tour and join our Zen Motorcycle Meditation Riding School, taught by our very own Zen Enfield Facilitators.
